Nuvo Clean Sports from Fightstore Ireland

Clean your sports equipment quickly and easily with the Nuvo Clean Sports gym cleaner!

We are the Irish distributor for Nuvo Clean Sports. The distribution is made in cooperation with Nuvo Clean from the Sportief BV warehouse in Sittard, NL. The demand for Nuvo Clean Sports was enormous after the launch on the biggest Sports Fair in Europe, the ISPO in Munich. The demand for a product that really attacks the bad sweat smell turned out to be huge.

Become also a distributor or reseller of the product that really helps! Because of the huge applicability of the product it will become a success in every sports store. Think about products like sport shoes, (boxing)gloves, shin guards, skates, helmets and many others, in general all products that got dirty because of sweat and are hard to wash.

Why Nuvo Clean Sports Probiotic Cleaning?

The Answer is Simpl…because it is safer and more effective.

Let’s start with some stats about how toxic those common cleaners in your home really are. In 2003, 90% of all reported poisonings in America (of which 60% were children) occurred at home due to common household cleaners. Research has also found that women who worked in their home have a greater risk, as much as 55% higher, of developing cancer and/or chronic respiratory disease than women who work outside of the home. Household cleaners, cosmetics, and paints contain so many toxic chemicals that this group now represents a leading source of air pollution in some major metropolitan areas, only second to car and truck exhaust emissions. There are an estimated 90,000+ chemical compounds in the USA today, of which less than 1% has actually been tested by the government for carcinogenicity. Less than 12% has been tested for ANY kind human or environmental safety. That said, we have absolutely no idea how these various combinations of chemicals will affect our health and that of the planet. The research is all there, so why do we continue to use toxic cleaners in our home, near our pets and children? Enter Probiotic cleaning—the new way to clean.

What is Probiotic cleaning?

Our Probiotic cleaners are specially formulated as safe, organic green cleaners meant to reduce germs in your home by as much as 86%. But wait, we’ve all heard the advertisements claiming certain toxic cleaners reduce 99.9% of germs, right? Why isn’t this better? The reason for this is that those cleaners kill ALL the germs, the good and the bad. Probiotics are essentially friendly bacteria. You see, most people only recognize bacteria as bad germs that need to be killed, but in reality, bacteria are part of the balance of nature and are absolutely necessary to our good health. Usually, favorable bacteria coexist harmoniously and it is only when harmful microorganisms gain the upper hand that we can become sick. Good bacteria and bad bacteria are often fighting against one another for survival. Naked Clean® lays down such a large quantity of friendly bacteria, or Probiotics, that the bad germs can’t compete and essentially die—exactly the way nature intended. That’s right, Probiotic Cleaning is actually cleaning with germs!

How exactly do Probiotics work to kill germs?

Probiotics clean at the microscopic level to reduce germs, allergens, and viruses by getting rid of bio-film—the secret hiding place of 90% of harmful bacteria. Bio-film is like a microscopic city full of all the bad stuff. It’s on almost all surfaces that are somewhat wet and warm, including on our teeth as plaque. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) believes that 65% of certain types of infections in hospitals are a result of diseases (e.g. H1N1, MRSA, Staph, E.coli) that live and hide in bio-film. But here’s the real kicker—bio-film cannot be removed with any cleaning products including acids. Not even the strongest disinfectant can penetrate its hard crust-like layers. It’s an armor-plated home for bacteria to live. Pictured here is bio-film magnified many times by an electron microscope. You can actually see the microorganisms under the bio-film. When you eliminate the bio-film, germs and viruses have no place to live and reproduce which causes them to die out. Viruses ‘outside’ the bio-film can only survive for a very short time so removing it is very helpful for a healthy home. The great thing about Probiotics is that the bio-film is actually food for them. Unlike toxic cleaners, Probiotics literally eat away the bio-film that holds the bacteria and viruses that can make you and your family sick.

How does Probiotic cleaning continue to clean up to 3-days later?

Since Probiotics are “living” microbes, once they’re exposed to a surface they continue to live up to 72 hours, on average. Therefore, Probiotic cleaning continues to clean long after the maids have left your home. This differs greatly from standard toxic cleaning because the germs jump right back onto the surface within 8-hours after a standard cleaning. With Probiotic cleaning you get a 3-day reprieve from the bad germs.

Choosing the Right Size Boxing Gloves

If you’re new to boxing or kickboxing, finding the right pair of gloves can seem pretty daunting. There are hundreds of types and brands. They also come in a large selection of sizes.

Choosing the right pair of gloves is one of the most important things you can do when you’re just getting started. In addition to affecting the quality of your training, wearing the wrong glove can increase your chance of injury over time.

Here we aim to give some general advice and guidance to help make that decision a little bit easier. Starting with the 2 main areas to consider:

  1. Are you hitting the mitts/the bag, sparring or fighting?
    • Bag gloves have a harder padding and small while sparring gloves are big and have soft padding. Fight gloves only come in 8oz and 10oz and only in lace up. To find the best boxing gloves for beginners, you must first determine the right size for your needs. The most common sizes are 10oz, 12oz, 14oz and 16oz. 10oz gloves are the most popular size for bag/pad workouts while 14oz, 16oz, 18oz, and even 20oz gloves are used for sparring.
  2. What’s your weight/size?
    • At 40-54kg and 5.5” – 6.5” you would be using an 8oz pair of gloves on the bag while if you are 85kg and 8.5″ – 9.5″ you would be sparring in a paid of 16oz+ gloves.

Your boxing gloves should have a snug, comfortable fit with your fingertips grazing the top of the gloves. Be sure to try them with hand wraps on. The gloves should be snug around the straps but not tight, and it should be easy to make a fist.

Bag Gloves: As the name suggests, bag gloves are meant to be used in heavy bag, speed bag or pad training. Bag gloves are designed with less padding in the knuckles than other boxing glove models. While it might seem counter-intuitive to have a product with less padding, bag gloves are constructed this way to allow fighters to feel their punches and become accustomed to the impact. If an awkward punch is thrown or a fighter’s form is broken, they should be able to feel it in a bag glove and adjust accordingly.

Regardless of type, the best boxing gloves for beginners should always be comfortable to wear with hand wraps and perfectly fit the shape of your hand, wrist and fingers. A good pair of gloves should never hurt your hands after a punch.

Note: all gloves have a break-in period. Chances are they won’t be comfortable right away, so give them a few weeks to fully adapt to your needs and fit.

Training gloves are a great all-around option for boxers who are new to the sport. These gloves are built with sufficient padding and can be used for both bag work and sparring but aren’t necessarily specialized for either. Training gloves can be a great introductory glove with ample support for novice and veteran fighters alike.

Sparring gloves: In contrast to training gloves, sparring gloves are built solely for sparring and have extra padding, not only to protect you, but also your sparring partner. Sparring gloves will be sized the same as trainers but can be a tad bit heavier due to the extra padding.

Rival Sparring Gloves Size Chart

Competition boxing gloves are designed with the fight in mind. With less padding in the knuckles, these gloves are built for your opponent to feel your strikes. There are two levels of competitive boxing gloves: amateur and professional. Each follows sizing by weight division, with amateur gloves being more regulated due to the stricter rules at this level. A good way to typically identify amateur gloves is by the red or blue color scheme accompanied by a white knuckle overlay for easier scoring by judges.

Professional Boxing bouts use 8oz/10oz lace up gloves while Amateur Boxing bouts use 10oz/12oz velcro boxing gloves.

Lace-up or velcro?

Laces do offer a tighter fit and better wrist support, however they’re also sadly not as practicable. You can’t tie laces by yourself, so you’ll have to count on your training buddy to lace you up before each training. For this reason, lace-up gloves are almost always used by professional boxers.

Velcro can be secured almost as tightly as laces, and can be done yourself. 9 times out of 10 the hassle of laces isn’t worth the benefits, unless you’re a pro.

Leather or vinyl boxing gloves?

The most common materials used for boxing gloves are vinyl and leather. The glove material will likely impact your comfort, the durability of the glove, and the cost. Vinyl gloves are usually cheaper; ranging from about €20 – €60. For that reason, vinyl gloves make for good boxing gloves for beginners. However, if you plan to train very regularly, leather may be a better choice, both for comfort and durability.

Vinyl/PU is far less breathable, and may cause your hands to get excessively hot and sweaty. It’s also not nearly as long-lasting as leather. However, this is still a great option if you plan to use your gloves to partake in fitness classes, or any other activity where there is little actual hitting.

Leather, while more expensive provides quite a few more benefits than vinyl. In addition to durably, leather will mold to your hand and become better fitting over time.

BlazePod FAQ

BlazePod FAQ

Does the BlazePod support other languages besides English?

At this stage, BlazePod only supports English.

Do I need a phone and a Bluetooth connection to use the BlazePod?

Yes. The Pods connect via a Bluetooth connection to the BlazePod app on your phone. BlazePod uses BLE technology to connect to the phone.

What is the BlazePod adapter and how do I use it?

The BlazePod adapter is the housing unit that holds the Pod in place when using one of the accessories.

In order to use it, first make sure that the Pod is lined up properly, and then firmly click it into place. The Pods hold extremely well. Next, simply pick the accessory you require. Both the suction cup and the straps attach themselves to the BlazePod adapter.

How do I charge my Pod?

Connect the USB cable to the power outlet and the charger unit.

Place one Pod on top of the charger and firmly press on top of them to make sure there is proper contact. If the indication light starts blinking red, move onto the next step. If the indication light changes between blue, green and red, leave the Pod on the charger for at least 10 minutes. Next remove the Pod for a moment, and then return it to the top of the charger and make sure the indication light then blinks red.

Add an additional Pod on top of the Pod currently charging and repeat the first 2 steps.

You can charge up to 6 Pods stacked one on top of the other.

How far away can my mobile phone be from the Pods?

Your Pods can be placed at a distance of up to 40 meters from your mobile device.

How many pods can I connect to simultaneously?

The maximum number of Pods that you’ll be able to simultaneously connect to will depend on the mobile device itself.
Most of the phones we tested could connect to 12 Pods, assuming the software version was up to date, but we know that some phones could connect to fewer Pods at a time.

In the past 2 years, we have seen the max number of simultaneous connections increases by phone manufacturers, so it’s a matter of time until all phones will have this support.

Please see further information regarding phone connectivity and your device’s capabilities using the following link.

What are custom activities?

If you can’t find what you are looking for among the predefined activities, then the custom activities function allows you to control the Pods’ capabilities to suit your own activity need, and build an activity according to your specific requirements.

Can I customize and save activities?

It is possible to create activities using the different light logics for immediate use and save up to 10 customs activities.

Cleto Reyes Ireland

Cleto Reyes Boxing Gear Worn by fighters the world over, is the most famous boxing brand on Earth.

Made in Mexico and famous through sponsoring the likes of Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao and more, Reyes is the last word in quality and performance. And what makes Cleto Reyes so special though and how did the brand that’s delivered knockout blows to thousands become the weapon of choice for fistic legends the world over?

The story starts on April 26th 1920 in Mexico City, where Cleto Reyes Castro was born. Facing extreme poverty the young Cleto started working at the age of 12 in a saddlery that manufactured baseball goods.

In 1936, while he was going to elementary school in premises across from the famed “Peralvillo Cozumel” ring, his love for boxing was born. In 1938, Cleto Reyes took part in his first amateur fight, however his performance was so poor that the crowd rained down coins on him and he decided from that moment on that his future lay outside of the ring. He chose instead to mend the gloves he had used during the fight and this started his career in glove manufacture.

Subsequently his gloves obtained the approval of the local boxing commission (COMBOX DF), and in 1945 the Cleto Reyes gloves were used in a world championship fight for first time and “La Condesa Arena” was the setting of the fight between the second Mexican Champion Juan Zurita and Ike Williams.

In 1965, he had his first salesman in Los Angeles who began distributing his products in the most important cities of the United States and some other countries, the message spread from there.

In 1970, by which time Don Cleto’s health was ailing, his son Alberto Reyes joined the family company and with his entrepreneurial vision, decided to register the trademark Cleto Reyes in 1975 and to found Industria Reyes S.A. de C.V. in 1979.

What makes a Cleto Reyes glove special? Well that is something hard to define, the brand conjurs up imagines of Mexican warriors of the past – Julio Cesar Chavevz and Erik Morales. Some say they “hit harder” with a Cleto. Prince Naseem Hamed went as far as ordering a custom made pair in goat skin for his fight with Marco Antonio Barrera and having his brother fly on a private jet to collect them! Cleto Reyes boxing gloves seem to say “I am here to fight” and perhaps thats why boxers choose them to this very day.

Serious boxers should look no where else for their fight gloves. Cleto Reyes might be more expensive than competitors, but the quality shines through and makes the price worthwhile. Quite simply the best boxing gear we stock.

Fightstore Ireland is a registered dealer of Cleto Reyes as well as national distributor in the Republic of Ireland. Pick up your set of Cleto’s in our online shop.

Check out the Canavape’s frequently asked questions on CBD for more information.

Canavape’s frequently asked questions: CBD, Cannabidiol, Cannabigerol, CBG, etc

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the least 85 active cannabinoids identified in cannabis. The CBD oils and waxes, terpenes and isolates used by Canavape® come from commercially grown, organic hemp plants which are naturally high in CBD and low in THC.

Factual and straightforward information on the potential benefits of Cannabinoids is available online by using a popular search engine. It is always wise to stick to reading accurate, factual case studies surrounding CBD rather than information on a products page.

Canavape products also contain a host of legal cannabinoids found in whole plant (full spectrum) extracts including CBD, CBG, CBDv to name a few.

Canavape® will always manufacture products using real, organic CBD oils alongside the finest isolated CBD, CBG or cannabinoid available.

The cannabis plant has over 100 active cannabinoids each with different properties. Most research and attention has been given to the major compounds; Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Cannabidiol (CBD), although there are many others, which are being discovered as time goes on. Cannabigerol (CBG) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found during the early stages of the growing cycle and can be extracted from budding plants roughly three quarters of the way through their flowering stage. This makes CBG one of the most valuable and potenitally beneficial cannabinoids that we know of.

Cannabinoids are most effective when used alongside each other. This creates what is known as the ‘entourage effect’. Canavape® and NV Biotech are proud to be the first company in the UK to launch Cannabigerol based products.

  • How strong are your products & what % are they?

Canavape® do not express the strength of their products as a percentage on the bottle. Instead they tell you exactly how many milligrams or MG’s there are within your bottle (CBD and CBG). Canavape believe percentages can be very misleading unless you know exactly how to calculate a % based on the original compounds added to a product. You request HPLC analysis for the oils and pure compounds used in the manufacture of the products from NV Biotech.

As an example for you, the 250MG CBD E Liquid in a 15ML bottle would give you a CBD % of 1.67%

Currently in the laboratory we have:

100% CBD Isolate

27% CBD hemp oil (Golden in colour)

50% CBD Hemp oil (Dark gold in colour)

98.8% CBG Cannabigerol

We have a couple of variants when it comes to PG (propylene glycol) and VG (vegetable glycerin) ratios.

1) Canavape® CBD E Liquids are 60% VG : 40% PG. Made using a thin golden organic oil it makes for an awesome CBD vape.

2) MediVapour™ and MediVapour Gold are always 100% organic Kosher VG. This does not change.

3) Canavape® Complete cannabinoid liquid uses a combination of PG, VG and PEG

Yes they are. All crops are grown under strict government licence.

None of our products contain THC, the cannabinoid scheduled as a Class B substance under the UK Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, Irish and EU law. Regulation (EC) 1672/2000 states that cannabis sativa plants containing 0.2% tetrahydrocannabinol or less can be approved for cultivation as hemp.

CBD, CBDV & CBG have no psychoactive effects and are not subject to any legal restrictions on their import, sale, possession or use. There are increasing number of reports and studies showing a variety of benefits from Cannabinoids. Canavape® and NV Biotech are proud to be the first in the UK and Ireland to offer these.

Our products contain no psychoactive ingredients and are all 100% legal.

  • Will I get high from Canavape® cannabinoid products?

No, all products manufactured by NV Biotech contain non-psychoactive legal cannabinoids found in whole plant (full spectrum) extracts.

Our products are made from supercritical CO2 extraction of the Cannabis sativa plant, with naturally occurring high amounts of Cannabidiol (CBD), Cannabigerol (CBG) and trace amounts of Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC – the main compound which cases you to feel “high”).

  • What category do your products fall under?

All products manufactured by NV Biotech (Canavape®, MediVapour™, ECS™ Gold Drops) are intended as a food supplement until further notice and can be used to optimise your well-being.

Yes you can… but please consider the below:

Canavape® stock personal vaping devices or “E cigs” and we choose the models based on experience and proven performance. All E liquids work best in purpose built “E Cigs” rather than disposable or the cheaper style slim line pens. If you currently own a slim line pen device with a 0.5ml or 1ml cartridge then its definitely worth upgrading your setup to maximize the benefits of our Cannabinoid products.

You may also find it useful to know that vaping Canavape® CBD E liquids works out to be over 40% better value for money vs the slim line pens with expensive replacement cartridges. We strongly advise upgrading to a popular E Cig device if you currently use a slim line pen. This is so you get the most out of your CBD, CBG or Cannabinoid vape product.

  • What is a “tincture” and how do I use an oral cannabinoid product?

Traditionally a tincture would be a medicine made by dissolving a drug in alcohol. However our modern definition would be more along the lines of; a compound suspended in carrier oils to aid absorption and bioavailability.

Our hemp oil tinctures are oral products designed for sublingual absorption, meaning under the tongue.

To absorb, simply drop under the tongue and hold for at least 90 seconds. Some oral cannabinoid products taste nice, some can taste strong and not so pleasant. This is normal dependent on the product.

Oral oils and tinctures are not for use in electronic cigarettes and will damage your device. Please only use orally!

  • What is CBDv (Cannabidivarin)?

Cannabidivarin (CBDv) is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid very similar to cannabidiol (CBD).

There has been very little clinical research into CBDv. However, several studies have been conducted over the past few years in countries including the UK.

A 2013 study by the University of Reading in London published by the National Institute of Health revealed that CBDv may be effective in treating epilepsy and other conditions involving seizures.

They already include CBDv in the Canavape® Complete cannabinoid liquid only in a very small measurement. As we learn more about CBDv and its usefulness alongside CBG and CBD they will increase the amount within the formulations.

  • What does bioavailability mean?

Bioavailability means the fraction of an administered dose of unchanged drug that reaches the systemic circulation, one of the principal pharmacokinetic properties of drugs. By definition, when a medication is administered intravenously, its bioavailability is 100%. When vaped and absorbed through the loungs this can drop to 60% – 80% and lower for oral applications. For this reason we use carrier oils in our oral based CBD, CBG, CBDv products which the body absorbs along with these amazing Cannabinoids,

  • What is a “Cannabinoid”?

Cannabinoids are simply chemical compounds that act on cannabinoid receptors on cells that repress neurotransmitter release throughout the brain. The most well-known cannabinoids include CBD, THC, CBG, CBN and THCa. More recently CBDv has been studied however its properties are still very unknown.

  • Where are these products made?

Canavape® is a limited company belonging to NV Biotech based in Camden Town London. When we say “based” here we mean they are real people operating from their biotechnology facility with a focus on customer care and quality control.

Within the NV Biotech building they house their ISO Class 5 capable clean room laboratory where they formulate and bottle all their products. This uniquely allows complete in house control over quality and precision in the formulation of their product range. They then send a sample of each product batch for testing to ensure accuracy.

The Canavape team have been working together for over 3 years. We believe all Cannabinoid based products should be produced in a certified clean environment. NV Biotech are proud members of the CTAUK.

  • What is the Endocannabinoid System?

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors located in the mammalian brain and throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems, consisting of neuromodulatory lipids and their receptors. Known as “the body’s own cannabinoid system the ECS is involved in a variety of physiological processes including appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory, and in mediating the psychoactive effects of cannabis (especially THC!)

Two primary endocannabinoid receptors have been identified: CB1, first cloned in 1990; and CB2, cloned in 1993. CB1 receptors are found predominantly in the brain and nervous system, as well as in peripheral organs and tissues, and are the main molecular target of the endocannabinoid ligand (binding molecule), Anandamide, as well as its mimetic phytocannabinoid, THC. One other main endocannabinoid is 2-Arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) which is active at both cannabinoid receptors, along with its own mimetic phytocannabinoid, CBD. 2-AG and CBD are involved in the regulation of appetite, immune system functions and pain management.

  • There is some orange stuff in my E Liquid! What is it? Is it normal?

We are quite often asked in the winter months what the orange stuff is! Its hemp oil, a key component of our CBD E Liquid at the moment. The cold weather can make it separate slightly during transit so just allow it to get to room temperature and shake for 1 – 2 minutes.

We use this fully vape safe oil because it contains a host of cannabinoids, not just one! Its highly beneficial VS CBD only products. In coming months we will focus on a spectrum of cannabinoids which may lower this oil level significantly.

  • Does it work for X medical condition?

Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any illness or disease. These statements have not been evaluated by the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) or the FDA or any other equivalent body. Because of this, can’t make any claims about what CBD Hemp Oil can do or may do for you. But, we CAN pass along that we have numerous customers using our products regularly for things such as: Cancer, Epilepsy, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pain, Arthritis, Insomnia, Anxiety, Migraines and so much more. While CBD doesn’t help everyone with their condition, we have many people who return regularly for reorders. The only way you’ll know if it will help you is to try it. (If you need further advice, your doctor or medical practitioner might be able to help.)

Again, we at Fightstore Ireland do not make any claims as to the medical benefits of our products and any links from our website are not an endorsement of said websites. Our products are sold as dietary supplements and are sold without any supplementary information.

  • How Much Should I Take?

Unfortunately, there is no definitive scientific answer to this. Truly it requires some trial and error to get the right amount for you and your condition. But, with patience and practice, you should be able to get to that “happy point” in just a few days of working with it.

The approach we recommend is to begin taking a particular amount, twice a day for the first 3-4 days to build it up in your system and so you can truly see what its doing. After this amount of time, increase or decrease the amount you’re taking based on the results you’re seeing.

Canavape® are proud to only produce only the best quality CBD and CBG E-liquids as well as others cannabinoid brands. All hemp oils and Isolates used in the manufacture of Canavape products are high in either CBD, CBG or said Cannabinoid.
